Small Private School in Evanston is more about test scores than basketball scores.
With about 20 kids per grade level, Roycemore School has always been more about learning and growth as a student, than achievement in sports. That doesn’t mean the school doesn’t field teams, but you’ll probably never hear a news story about a D-1 prospect transferring there. So, if you’re a high school sports fan and clicked on this page because you’ve never heard of Roycemore, you may know why now.
Without a doubt Roycemore ends up in the smallest school class for any IHSA playoffs they enter. Judging from past brackets, the school has either not participated in certain years or may not have fielded a team. The Griffins did have a 2024-25 boys team that plays in the Lake Shore Athletic Conference. However, the IHSA does not have them assigned in any regional.
